Installation Guide - TELTONIKA SERIES 920

Concerning models: FMB920 and FMC920

 Wiring Connections:
  •  Wires should be attached to stable wires or other immovable parts. Any heat-emitting and/or moving objects should be kept away from the wires.
  • There should be no exposed wires. If factory insulation was removed during wire connection, insulating material should be applied.
  • If wires are laid outside or in places where they may be damaged or exposed to heat, moisture, dirt, etc., additional insulation should be used, and the wires should not be loose.
  • Wires cannot be connected to onboard computers or control units.
  • Do not connect the gray and white wire - they should be properly secured using insulating tape.
 Connecting the Power Source:
  • Ensure that after the car computer goes into sleep mode, power can still be available on the power wires. Depending on the car, this can happen within 5 to 30 minutes.
  • After connecting the module, re-measure the voltage to ensure it has not dropped.
  • It is recommended to connect to the main power wire in the fuse box.
  • Use an external 3 A, 125 V fuse.
Connecting the Ignition Wire:
  • Make sure it is the real ignition wire i.e., that the power does not disappear after starting the engine.
  • The ignition signal should be connected to the wire where power (+) appears after turning the ignition key to position 1 (ignition on) and also add to check if the ignition signal (+) does not disappear after starting the engine or other devices in the vehicle.
  • Check if power is still available after turning off any device in the vehicle.
  • The ignition is connected to the ignition relay output. Alternatively, any other relay that has output power when the ignition is on can be chosen.
Connecting the Ground Wire:
  • The ground wire is connected to the vehicle frame or metal parts attached to the frame.
  • If the wire is fastened with a screw, the loop must be connected to the end of the wire.
  • For better contact, scrape off the paint from the place where the loop is to be connected.

Note! Remember that the device is not waterproof and that the main current and post-ignition current are easiest to find after the fuse box inside vehicles.
